Motorbike Restoration

PROBLEM

SOLUTION

When I got this motorbike, it had not functioned for around 10 years and had a lot of problems: broken parts, clutch welded, broken electronic, rust, holes in the gas tank ...

My goal was to disassemble and reassemble everything while finding and fixing everything.

I began by taking a lot of pictures while disassemble, and making a list of all the broken parts or problems I needed to fix.

When everything was disassembled, I welded the aluminum frame that was broken, designed new parts, took care of the rust of the sub-frames and painted them, entirely restored the breaking systems with new seals and parts, changed the sealing of the dampers and reassemble all theses parts.

I then took care of the electric system and the engine. I checked all the gaps and changed many different parts (seals, bearings ...), painted it before reassembled it.

I then worked on the body, welded the tank, body filled and paint all the parts.

Overview:

This  a restoration was a personal project. I have been given a broken motorbike that I wanted to entirely restore in order to have it better than new.

As I had to study far from my home, this project took around 2 years, but it represents around 500 hours of effective work.
